Jadilah Legenda : Punk never die! Itu adalah jargon yang ada di benak saya ketika mendengar kabar bahwa album ke delapan band punk rock asal bali Superman Is Dead akan dirilis. Fukk, i’m the Outsiders since Kuta Rock City album! Tepatnya saat kelas 6 sekolah dasar, saya sudah mendengar lagu mereka lewat kaset tape yang saya beli dengan cara menabung dari uang saku. Sempat membentuk sebuah band bernama Sex Addict dengan teman komplek dan meng-cover lagu dari band pulau dewata tersebut. Band saya saat itu juga berkonsepkan tiga personil dan saya berperan meniru BobbyKool, Haha it was my first experience and I will not forget it. Saya benar-benar teracuni oleh virus mereka hingga saat ini, candu dari tiap syairnya berpengaruh dalam tiap tarikan nafas saya. This is true! Ya, 16 tahun adalah bukan waktu yang singkat mengukur eksistensi sebuah band minoritas dari pulau seberang tetapi mereka membuktikannya dengan tetap bertahan selama itu. Mereka telah menjadi legenda hidup sejarah scene Punk Rock di Indonesia khususnya di pulau para dewa. Dimulai pada tahun 1997 dengan album Case 15 berlanjut album self titled dengan judul Superman Is Dead di tahun 1998/1999 lalu album Bad Bad Bad ( EP ) di tahun 2002 dan album Kuta Rock City tahun 2003, The Hangover Decade 2004, Black Market Love 2006, Angels and The Outsiders di tahun 2009 dan terakhir album Sunset di Tanah Anarki pada tahun ini 2013. Berkarya lebih dari satu setengah dekade dan sudah menghasilkan 7 album diantaranya 1 album EP, 6 full album dan 1 Vinyl ( Piringan Hitam ) serta 1 DVD documentary tour mereka di Aussy, sekarang mereka makin menancapkan taringnya di industri musik Indonesia dengan meluncurkan album mutakhir yang diberi judul ‘ Sunset di Tanah Anarki ‘ yang ber-amunisikan 17 lagu dengan peluru andalannya adalah ‘ Jadilah Legenda ‘ yang baru di rilis pekan lalu. Sejarah band tetangga pulau Jawa ini cukup panjang jika harus di jabarkan lewat notulensi, mulai dari mengusung bendera Independent hingga dikontrak oleh perusahaan rekaman besar pernah mereka jalani, pernah pula mereka meneriakan bahwa mereka adalah band Rock n’ Roll bukan band Punk Rock yang selama ini jadi image mereka, tour ilegal di Australia serta mandulnya peluncuran album Angles and The Outsiders hingga 3 tahun sampai di boikotnya band ini di pulau Jawa karena isue tattoo ‘ FUCK JAVA ‘ yang menghisasi tubuh salah seorang personil Jerinx Cs ini. superman-is-dead Tapi kini BobbyKool, EkaRock dan JRX bangun dari tidur panjangnya dan menyajikan musik yang tegas serta lirik yang lugas menyentil ranah sosial politik serta keberagaman Indonesia. Semua lini esensi kehidupan dituliskannya kedalam setiap lagu dalam album ini mulai dari kritik sosial kebudayaan, kritik sentralisasi industri musik dan protes soal lingkungan hidup serta cinta akan sesama manusia. Dan disisi lain mereka sangat concern memprotes campur tangan politik pada kebudayaan ditempat mereka lahir dan Bali adalah salah satu alasan mereka tetap kencang meneriakan perdamaian serta asas Bhinneka Tunggal Ika untuk seluruh negeri. 17 lagu yang terdapat dalam ‘ Sunset di Tanah Anarki ‘ : Shoot Up The Night Bulan Dan Kesatria Sunset Di Tanah Anarki Suara Dalam Menara Terkepal Untuk Cinta Bulled Proof Heart Kita Adalah Belati Jadilah Legenda Forever Love Insane Kita Luka Hari Ini, Mereka Luka Selamanya Forgivers The Opening Ketika Senja Water Not War Belati Tuhan Burn The Night Dalam Perih Band dibawah asuhan SONY MUSIC ini baru saja merilis video klip mereka yang berjudul ‘ Jadilah Legenda ‘ yang secara ekslusif disutradarai oleh Erick Est pada 26 juni lalu. Menurut Jerinx selaku pencipta lagu, ‘Jadilah Legenda’ merupakan lagu balada tiga kunci yang diciptakan dengan harapan besar agar generasi muda di Indonesia mampu memiliki mindset baru.
